For some of you who just purchased a bike (scooter), and are new to this scooter industry. It would be good for you to know a few things about your scooter.
Importation of scooters to the USA has grown dramatically; and will continue to grow. Weather or not gasoline prices have gone down. The fact is, that pretty much everyone today is buying and reselling scooter out of there garage.
But what's most important for you to know is where are you going to get your replacement parts when your scooter breaks down? What time frame will you receive it? And for how long will you be getting replacement parts?
We believe the best place to purchase your scooter, would be at your local Scooter or Motorcycle Shop. Yeah . . . we know it's more expensive. Yes, we know that! But at least when it starts break down you have some where to get it fixed. If your looking to buy a brand new scooter at your local Scooter or Motorcycle Store. Here are a few things you should keep in mind.
It is extremely important when purchasing your scooter, that you are clear what you are getting for your money. Make sure to get your warranty in writing.
* * Warranty (3-6 months or 1 year), this may vary depending on the price you paid for the scooter
* What replacement parts does the warranty cover. Pretty much every scooter shop (reseller) will cover the
engine, and electrical parts
* Oil changes
So keeping all this in mind: when your ready to buy your scooter, weather now or later. Be alert, don't get crazy and buy the first scooter you see. HIGH PERFORMANCE MUFFLERS
When I get asked whats the best high performance muffler out there. I say, it depends on your scooter engine using. Actually there are many mufflers that will give you what you want. Depending on weather you have a 150cc, or a 160cc, 170cc, 180cc upgraded engine. What I'm really saying is; you need to get a muffler suitible for your scooter engine. There are Carbon Fiber Muffler, they look nice, but after a while they get over heated and get ugly burn marks from engine heat.
What's really important is to look out for those header pipes. The wider the header pipe (in diameter) on the muffler, the better your exhaust output you will have. If you have a header pipe with a small diameter, your engine will work harder. Simply because your holding back on the exhaust output. Find out more about our .
