You know.... sometimes we run across a good deal on a scooter. I mean, I have purchase scooters many times for dirt cheap ( $250.00 - $350.00- $100.00 ) even for free. Really! . . .

I ran across a older woman who's young son (16-17 year old son) crashed his scooter. She had mentioned that she bought the scooter for his birthday. Anyway, when she showed me the scooter, it was parked against the wall in the back yard of her house collecting rust. She just wanted to get rid of it (my guess is, she had a crazy youngster who she did'nt want to see get hurt on this bike). For her, it was broken and just taking up space. I said. . . sure mamm, I'll take that piece of junk of your hands. yeah right ! ! !

Anyway, I called up my brother-in-law. He came by the address, and we put the scooter on the back of a pickup truck.

When I got to the shop, and actually started looking at the scooter. Most of he plastic body parts were broken, and the front fork (or front suspension) was bent. Big deal. What I realy wanted to know if the engine was still good. I gotta tell you, the speed-o-meter read 500 plus miles, and the engine was still in new condition. Actually, this kid hardly ever road the scooter. In reality this scooter was brand new. The only thing wrong with it was the body.

Anyway, 2-3 weeks later I placed a brand new Hayabusa Body Kit, and sold the bike for $1200.00. I mean, these opportunities only come a few times in a life time. But you never know, you could be in the right place at the right time!

So, if you run across a scooter with broken plastic body parts, but the engine is still in good condition. Then you may want to think about putting it together.
